Giving the punching bag one last jab, Eric whipped his hand across his forehead, getting rid of the sweat before it could burn his eyes. Glancing up at the clock, he figured he had given Wes plenty of time to get a shower and back to work. He had wanted to stop his workout 20 minutes ago, but Wes had hit the locker room just then and Eric decided to extend his workout just a bit longer. No uncomfortable scenes, just what Eric wanted.
The two commanders of the Silver Guardians weren't exactly on speaking terms at the moment. That's all the other guardians needed to know and Eric didn't want a scene that would just spread rumors.

As he stood in front of his locker and began pulling his uniform and shower stuff out, Eric noticed three guardians surrounding him. "Can I help you gentlemen?" he asked curiously.

One of the guardians stepped forward, one of the bolder ones if Eric remembered correctly. Not many of the men had the guts to speak to him, they usually went to Wes withy their problems since he was the more personable of the two. "Commander Collins asked us to come find you. He'd like to speak with you."

Eric was confused. One, he and Wes weren't exactly speaking so what did he want to talk about? Second, Why would Wes send Guardians to come find him? Wes had never done that before. Naturally Eric was intrigued. "Alright gentlemen, show me the way."

The guardians turned to walk away, but Eric caught the small smile that passed between them. Something else was going on here and Eric was going to get to he bottom of it, what ever it was. With one hand, he shoved his uniform back into his locker, while slinging a towel around his neck with the other. If Wes was going to send troops to get him, he could deal with Eric in the condition they had found him, sweaty and smelly.

Eric dried the sweat from his face and hair with the towel as he followed the three guardians. Finally they stopped, in the middle of the hallway where two guardians were standing guard on either side of a door.

"Commander Collins is in there." said the bold guardian who had done the talking in the locker room, as one of the door's guards opened the door. It was then that Eric realized where the door led.

"What's going on here? That's a janitor's clo..." He didn't get to finish for his escort of three grabbed him from behind and shoved him inside, immediately closing the door behind him.

Eric immediately turned and started banging on the door. "Let me out!" he shouted. "I will have all your hides for this!"

The silence of the response from the other side only made Eric fume. Why would his troops lock him in a broom closet.

A small chuckle came from the corner of the small room and Eric whirled around to see someone standing up. Once his eyes adjusted to the dim light, he saw that person was Wes, dressed as Eric was, straight out of the gym.

"In see they ambushed you too." Eric's head was still whirling from all that had happened in the past few moments. Plus he was now in a small space with Wesley Collins. Not good.

In response to Eric's stunned silence, Wes crossed his arms over his chest. "I think the troops have caught on to out little squabble and decided to take it upon themselves to do something about it." He chuckled softly. "I don't even remembered what we were fighting about in the first place."

Eric's mood grew dark. He remembered what they fighting about and it wasn't in any way amusing. "I said it was about time you got over Jen and moved on with your life and you took major offense and stopped speaking to me." He growled in a low voice, not pleased with Wes' attitude.

Of course, Wes' mood changed to match Eric's once he was reminded of the quarrel. "Oh...right." He said softly and turned away from Eric to look sadly at the wall.

Eric hated seeing his friend like this and his voice softened a bit. "Look, she isn't coming back so you might as well..."

Eric was startled into a sudden silence when Wes suddenly turned on him, eyes wide with rage and his yells making everything in the small closet shudder. "Get over it right? That's what you're going to say isn't it? Well you and everyone else who thinks that, my father included, can just go shove it for I care. I'm never going to find someone like Jen ever again and I am NOT going to get over it!"

Wes took a few calming deep breaths as Eric felt the rage inside him grow, ignited by Wes' furious words. Now, he set upon the unsuspecting red ranger.

"I know you're never going to find someone like Jen and that's my point. I don't want to see you hurt like that, knowing your always hurting. Do you know what it's like living with the fact that you are so deeply in love with someone, but painfully knowing that you can never be with them?" Eric held up his hand to silence the response he knew was waiting on Wes' parted lips. Eric continued slowly shaking his head. "No, you may think you do, but you don't. You have only felt if for a few months, but when a few months turns into a few years, that is when the real ache begins. I know for I have felt it..." Now it was Eric's turn to look sadly away to the blank walls. He hadn't meant to say that, reveal that much, not to Wes. Wes was the last person he would have chosen to share his pain with and now he had. What would Wes think of the brave and mighty Eric now? He who suffered from silent heart ache unknown to anymore, until now...

Eric heard Wes come closer before he felt the hand on his shoulder. "Oh Eric, I had no idea..." There was an awkward silence and Eric closed his eyes almost dreading what Wes would ask next.

A timid voice asked, "Would you mind if I ask you to elaborate?"

Taking a deep breath, the Quantum ranger turned around to face Wes, whose hurt rage had turned to hopeful curiosity. I t was enough to bring a small smile to his face. How could he resist that childish expression on Wes' face? But he knew he had too.

"Look, it's someone here, who works at BioLab so I'm not that comfortable talking about it..." Thankfully Wes smiled in understanding and Eric sighed in relief. "So, you promised to at least try to get over Jen?" He couldn't help but smirk playfully and was rewarded with a defeated sigh.

"Alright, I guess it can't hurt to try. But I don't know where I'm going to find someone who would even consider giving me a chance."

"The person is right under your nose, you just don't notice they're there." Eric thought to himself as he turned to knock on the door to inform the guards that they were ready to come out. But his hand was stopped by another and Eric turned to look into Wes' confused expression.

"What do you mean by that?" he asked softly and Eric realized suddenly to his horror that he had said his last thought aloud. He could only stand in stunned silence as his mind blocked out all intelligent thought. Wes was standing so close to him, their bodies only centimeters from touching. Eric was becoming both claustrophobic from Wes' close proximity and intoxicated by Wes' smell, a unique smell all his own, mixed with sweat.

Inside, Eric was panicking. What could he say to Wes that would explain the fact that Eric had been completely in love with him since prep school? How Wes had been part of the reason Eric had returned to Silver Hills in the first place? How Wes was even the reason he had stolen the Quantum Morpher, so Eric could be close to him, even if only as a power ranger? And after seeing the love between Jen and Wes, Eric had torture himself and pretended to hate Wes, if only so Wes wouldn't suspect anything and could be happy with Jen...but she was gone now...

"Eric, what did you mean?" Wes' soft yet frantic tone pulled Eric back to the present. Taking a deep breath, Eric knew, for better or for worse, what he had to do.

"This."

Eric breathed more then said as he closed the short distance between them, placing a kiss on Wes' surprised lips. It wasn't soft, nor passionate, just a simple kiss that Wes neither returned no repulsed. When he pulled back, Eric saw a very surprised expression on Wes' face, understanding dawning in his clear blue eyes.

A soft "Oh" was Wes' only response and Eric began to turn away from embarrassment. Now he had done it. In one moment, he had lost his best friend, one of his few, in the entire world all because Eric couldn't control himself. Tears were appearing in the corner of his eyes. He raised his hand to knock on the door again, for the closet new seemed smaller then ever before, especially with Wes in it.

Again, a hand stopped him from knocking while another slowly clasped his chin, so Eric's tear filled brown eyes were turned and locked onto Wes' smiling blues. Carefully, Wes, wiped away Eric's tears with his thumb, smiling gently the entire time.

"Your right, I have been blind, haven't I? Forgive me?" Before the completely shocked Eric could even formulate some sort of response, Wes leaned in and kissed him fiercely and Eric was so glad to return it, opening his mouth slightly so Wes' tongue could explore. After a few moments, they separated to catch their breath, both panting softly.

"I could certainly get used to that!" exclaimed Wes, a large grin on his handsome face.

This comment suddenly made Eric grin seductively. "You know, there are other thing I could show you that are just as fun..."

Being the ever playful one, Wes cocked his eyebrow in amusement. "Really? Like what?"

Eric couldn't answer for a moment later he was kissing Wes, playfully pushing him up against the wall, hands' roaming Wes' body before ending on the hem of his sweat pants. Wes was already moaning softly when Eric pulled down both Wes' sweat pants and boxers, revealing a very hard member. Eric broke the kiss and gave an impressed whistle. Wes only blushed slightly.

"That looks painful," whispered Eric huskily in Wes' ear. "Let me take care of that for you..."With a quick peck on Wes' lips, Eric went to his knees and slowly began to kiss the hard flesh in front of him, then caress it gently with his tongue.

The guardian who had been in charge of this little scheme approached the two guarding the door.
"Everything alright?"

"Aye sir. There was some yelling earlier but been quiet since."

The guardian couldn't help but grin. "Hope that means the Commanders have made up. But I better check to make sure they haven't killed each other instead."

The two guardians stepped aside to let him through and he carefully unlocked the door and cracked it open to peer inside.

What he saw was the enough to make him freeze for it was the last thing he had ever expected. Commander Myers on his knees before Commander Collins who had his pants and boxers around his ankles. From the way Commander Collins was moaning, if hadn't had his back to the wall, he might have collapsed, such was the pleasure he was receiving from Commander Myer's obviously talented mouth.

Careful to shut the door softly so as not to alert them of his presence, the Silver Guardian turned to the other two. "Ummm...I think they need a little more time. I'll be back to check on them later..." he managed to stammer before walking away, his face flushed and his nerves flustered.

The two guardians exchanged and confused glance and shrugged before resuming their posts with no knowledge of what was going on in the closet behind them.
