I has an app for a hot bald billionaire done.

Your character's name: Alexander 'Lex' Joseph Luthor
Your character's canon: Smallville
What type of canon is it (Book series, film, etc.): TV Series
Your character's LJ: capable_of
Is your character living or dead at their time of entry?: Living
Does your character have any pre-existing disabilities of a medical, physical, or psychiatric nature?: Due to kryptonite exposure during the meteor shower, Lex has an abnormally high white blood cell count that results in an increased healing ability rather then the normal leukemia. I mention this because technically if you take away the healing ability, the still high white blood cell count would result in the disease, so I'd like to include giving him a regular white blood cell count as a part of taking away the healing factor. Also with his healing factor gone, it's likely he will redevelop the extreme asthma he had as child

Tell us about your character's background: (This should be between 150 and 400 words detailing your character's past and present. The future may be included, if relevant. Also be sure to include the point at which s/he is leaving canon)

The only time Lex felt like a normal person with a normal family was when he was younger. While his father wasn't the most loving even then, his mother Lillian gave him the most love he'd ever felt in his life. Not even losing his hair while accompanying his father on a business trip toSmallville during a meteor shower did much to change that. In fact, his feeling of family love increased after the birth of little brother Julian. But this happiness was extremely short lived as extreme post-partum depression and a fear of Lionel pitting the two boys against one another for his affection caused Lillian to smother Julian in his sleep. For fear of what his father would do to his mother,Lex took the blame, knowing his father wouldn't do anything to harm his now only heir. This caused Lionel's deep resentment for his son, a resentment that Lex wouldn't understand after suffering a mental breakdown and suppressing any and all memories of his brother's death. This, and the death of his mother two years later of illness, ended any feeling of love, family or security Lex had.

Lionel Luthor's version of parental love was lavishing his son with expensive gifts, usually historical or cultural in nature, and sending him off to boarding school. There, he was severely teased and bullied for his baldness, which his father used to his advantage as a lesson to make his son as strong and ruthless as himself. In fact, everything his father gave or did for Lex was a test, to make him worthy of being a Luthor. This eventually caused rebellion in teenage Lex , who did everything from fighting and clubbing, to drugs and sex, anything he could to anger his father. The only thing he didn't do was get kicked out of school, thanks to his extremely high grades and his father's ruthless reputation. His rebellion continued into college, but despite this, he did as his father had done and graduated from Princeton's business school in less then four years. He was in graduate school at Yale when his father had another test for him, sending him to the out of touchSmallville to run the LuthorCorp factory there. In getting him out of the public eye, he hoped the quell Lex's rebellious tendencies.

Instead of quelling those tendencies, Lex's rebellion changed. Rather than screwing up and learning humility, as had been Lionel's plan, Lex proved to be a smart and generous business man. He turned the factory around, despite Lionel's many attempts to sabotage him, and even orchestrated an employee buyout, forming his own company. On his first day in Smallville, he lost control of his car and hit Clark Kent, causing both him and the car to fall into the river below. This would lead both to the closest friend Lex ever had and the start of an obsessive curiosity into the nature of the meteor shower and the effects on it's residents, himself included. He also found love in Smallville and it was on the way to his honeymoon with his new wife, Dr. Helen Bryce, that he crash lands near the island.

Your character's personality: (This should be between 150 and 400 words detailing the major aspects of your pup's personality. This is NOT the same as background information.)

At this point in his life, Lex's personality is in a state of constant flux. On one side is an honest, good-heart young man created by his mother and on the other is a ruthless man on the constant quest for knowledge and power created by his emotionally abusive father. Clark and his parents provide a model for who Lex wants to be, but he isn't sure how to become.

As a teenager, Lex was callous and self-destructive resulting from the alienation he felt from his father and the world at large due to his baldness. It was his arrival in Smallville and his meeting with Clark Kent that caused him to want to change his self-destructive behavior and his life. He proved eager to come out from under his father's ruthless reputation by instead being honest, kind and willing to use his wealth to help others. While he will get defensive when judged with suspicion due to his name,Lex will do anything he can to prove people wrong. He can be extremely compassionate and protective of those he trusts, doing anything in his power to help them.

But Lex knows there are still dark elements inside of him, that he will one day embrace to become the super villain feared by the DC universe, but now he is trying to suppress. He has a deeply obsessive nature that causes him to stop at nothing to find out the answer to the unexplained and will eventually become an obsessive quest for power, but as of right now, he's channeling it into the mystery of the meteor rocks. Occasionally, his obsessiveness strays into the mystery that is his best friend, Clark Kent, and the car crash they met over but he does his best to keep it hidden for the sake of their friendship and to protect Clark from people who would take advantage of him, such as Lionel. He can be stubborn and forceful, which are a terrible force when combined with the obsessiveness, which can be used for good or for bad depending on where it's directed.

Lex is in a constant quest for the things he once had but has since lost thanks to his father: love and family. Despite trying to get out from under his shadow and rebelling against him, everything Lex does is an unconscious bid for his father's approval. The thing he wants most in his life is his father to love him. This is why the deaths of Julian and his mother are such major points in his life and why he deeply envies the Kents. He wants people to care about and people to care about him, which is why he often looks on Clark as a little brother who he would do anything for. He craves this so much that when he falls in love, he loves quickly and strongly, which is why his courtship of Dr. Helen Bryce was so very short. His main problem with dealing with people is his father's influence as made it easier for him use people then to trust them.

What is true no matter what is that Lex is an extremely intelligent and intellectual young man who is trying to figure out exactly who he is, though if its for better or for worse remains to be seen. He

Why do you want to play this character?: (This should be between 150 and 400 words detailing your character's general ability to contribute to the fictional community of Tabula Rasa.)

We play a lot on how characters are perceived on the island in accordance with their original canon and their is a no more infamous pop culture character then Lex Luthor, the arch enemy of the great Superman. And for it's 7 seasons, Smallville is current enough that this version will be both unfamiliar and drastically different then the Luthor most of the characters on the island grew up with. Instead of a power hungry super villain, he's merely a lost young man trying to not become like his father, by attempting to do the right thing and change his life. It will throw many people on for the island for a loop and will no doubt have people suspicious of him at the get go.

Speaking of which, one of the things I look forward to the most is exploring his character development with out his father around. Whenever he made a stride towards becoming a better man, Lionel dragged him back to the path that would lead to the destiny we know for him. Without Lionel's influence,Lex could possibly conquer the dark things inside himself and turn out to be a perfectly good human being. I'd like to find out if it's possible.

I haven't been following the beginnings of the market and island economy and such, but if there ever is a serious move towards one,Lex would be an ideal person to be a consultant for it. He grew up in one of the most power companies in the world, has a business degree from Princeton and was constantly tested by his father to become a cutthroat business man. If he can survive Lionel Luthor's tests, he can help start an economy on a crazy island.

Smallville's Lex Luthor is one of those characters that I love so very much and I considered him to be my fourth character after Fiyero, but I didn't think I could do him justice at the time. Now, after two years in the game and a year of writing Kim Philby, who is a very challenging character for me, I'm confident I can finally do him the justice his character deserves.

Your character's initial personal inventory: (This is a detailed list of everything on a person when they first arrive on the Island. It should include clothes, accessories, carried items, etc. Should your pup be in possession of a device that requires a battery, please include the power level of the battery/ies. This list cannot be too detailed!)

-an expensive dress casual dark gray suit complete with a white shirt with gold cuff links, a black belt, a yellow tie with subtle white and purple stripes, a pair of black dress socks, a pair of silk boxer briefs and a pair of black dress shoes, all from the finest stores in Metropolis
-a high end compass, a wedding present from Jonathan Kent, in his right pants pocket
-a beautiful watch with a genuine Napoleonic coin set in the face, given to him by his mother just before she died
-a platinum wedding band, from his marriage to Dr. Helen Bryce

Had but lost in the initial plane crash
-a foreign leather wallet containing no cash, three credit cards, plant security clearance card and his driver's license
-a multi-purpose pda cellphone, registered to LexCorp

Your character's entrance post: (This may be altered once you actually post your pup in, but our primary goal here is to ensure you have put a modicum of thought into how you will go about portraying your pup.)

Bare with me, as I have two EPish things I'd like to run past you. The first is a small intro plot I'd like to do if you okay it. The second is the EP I'll do if the plot isn't accepted and to show how I'll portray him.

I was talking to the muns of the Island Titans (Robin, Bart, Dairine & Jill) and they expressed that they'd like to have an opportunity to use the life saving training Robin is giving them and I thought Lex's EP would be a good opportunity for them to do just that. Plus, the irony of Robin and Bart saving one of the greatest super-villains in their world is just ironic and fun.

Here is my proposal. In canon, from the Season Two finale from which I'm bringing him, Lex is drugged by his newly married wife when they take off in a Luthercorp private plane on the way to their honeymoon. He wakes up a while later and finds the plane completely empty except for himself. He's checking the cockpit as the plane crashes nose first into the ocean. I was thinking that the plane could crash a mile or two out from the Titan training beach, so they're the ones to see it and respond. The plane would disappear the minute it completely sinks under the ocean so there's no wreckage to deal with later (I'm open to change this if you'd like to use this opportunity to get scrap metal or other things) and as per canon, he'd to make it to one of the wings floating in the ocean and then pass out from shock and injuries. I'm also planning to have him loose all forms of identification in the crash so it won't be completely obvious that this is a young Lex Luthor. Then the Titans would do their rescuing thing, getting him back to shore and to the clinic.

I have run this by Sil, Squot, Bugs and Ash and they are all up for it and I figure I could find a doctor pup once my app is approved so I will be better able to find someone who will be around when we thread it. If you have any questions to clarify or requests for change, I'd be glad to answer them.

Now here's my EP.

It was more the jerking back and forth of the plane then the thunder that caused Lex to groggily wake up and open his eyes. He couldn't help a wince due to the headache pounding in his head from the drugs, a feeling he unfortunately knew too well, and the harsh lightening flashing around the trembling plane. Once he could concentrate past the pounding his head, he looked around frantically, taking in the deployed oxygen masks hanging from the ceiling and the lack of anyone around. "Helen?" He asks the rattling cabin before pulling himself up out of his chair.

Just as he takes a step to look around for his new wife, the plane jerks and he stumbles into one of the chairs across the way, catching himself as he calls out over the thunder, "HELEN!" His thoughts turned frantic as he began to panic on her behalf. Where was she? What had happened? He didn't bother asking himself who, there was no doubt his father was behind this. He hadn't wanted Lex to get married, convinced it was another form of rebellion vice love of two young people. But then, Smallville would be a normal Kansas town before Lionel Luthor believed in love. Of course he would want to ruin any chance Lex had for happiness.

His need to find out what was going on caused him to stumble his way towards the cockpit. The plane shook again in time to a loud clap of thunder and Lex fell hard into the bar, sending dishes flying against the wall and onto the floor. Using the bar top as leverage, he managed to push himself up to grab the cabin partition and then on to the cockpit door. The door opens with a jerk and Lex gaps at the empty pilot's chairs amid the trashed cockpit, consoles smashed and sparking. But the thing that caught his eye the most was the ocean that Lex could see approaching through the windshield. He could only stare in horror for a few moments before slamming the cockpit door and bracing himself, just as the plane hit the water.

---
Somehow, Lex had fought the water and the wreckage of the plane to make it to the surface and to one of the floating wings before passing out, though how exactly he couldn't remember when he woke up hours later with the sun bright over head and the water lapping over the aluminum of the wing. He just lay there for a few long moments, categorizing each ache and pain. Along with minor cuts and bruises, he some glass in his arm from not shutting the cock pit door fast enough when the windshield had exploded on impact, a long gash in his leg where it had scrapped a twisted bit of metal while he'd been escaping the hull, his lungs still burned from the massive amounts of ocean water he'd ingested, a large bruise on his chest from dodging one of the chairs that had come loose, and the beginnings of a sunburn on the pale skin of his bald head. After each bump was cataloged in his mind, he took another moment to curse his father though Lex had no idea what he'd done for his father to finally decide that he didn't need an heir, and lament the lose of Helen and the happy wedded times they hadn't gotten to share. But only a moment, as one his father's prime lessons came to the forefront of his mind. A Luthor never shows weakness or let emotions get in the way of what needed to be done.

Sparing another thought at how he must have been really injured for his enhanced healing to not have healed more of injuries by now,Lex winced up into a sitting position so he could get a good look around. There was no sign of the plane at all, beside the wing he was currently sitting on, but he immediately noticed the large island right in front of him. A search of his pockets found that he'd lost his cellphone so there would be attempts there for calling for help, but there was a small comfort in finding Jonathan Kent's wedding present. The compass, and the reminder of the strong willed man who had given it to him, compelled Lex to bite the bullet and slip off the wing of the plane into the water, beginning the long swim towards the island.

It took hours and when Lex made it to the shore, he managed to pull himself up onto the beach and into some shade before rolling onto his back and passing out from exhaustion and pain.

I'm told I need to make the three main sections work better together so any suggestions there would be amazing, but I welcome any and all comments please! I want this to go through first try this time!
