OKay so bare with me. This is along the lines of the Ironmen/Steelers question from QAF that I had a while ago.

If the meteor rocks from Superman canon are called kryptonite...then what is the element on the periodic table called? Is it still called kryptonite krypton (oops!) in homage? Does it not exist? Is it called something else?

Oddly enough, this occurred to me while looking at a periodic table for a log for Tommy.

Along those lines, I also found out today that Lex's mansion in Smallville is the same one used as Xavier's in X2. The meta amuses me.

And finally, I realized if I app Lex for TR, I will play three Alexanders. Alexander Summers aka Alex, Alexander Harris aka Xander and Alexander Luthor aka Lex. Jess! I'm working my way up to matching your Williams XD And ironically, Alexander is a name I have always considered as a male baby name. Subconscious maybe?

EDIT: I also forgot to mention, I'm sleepy due to no sleep and then getting up early with mother to go stand in line at Toys R Us so she could get a Wii for herself. So it's bed early for me tonight. Post for Kim tomorrow while also tagging him into Guy's discussion and all tags returned tomorrow. Anything I might miss from today/tonight let me know?

I actually play two Xanders...does that count twice? *g*

That was my first thought when I realized. 'Hey! I wonder if I've beaten Jess yet!'

Good thing I keep Chemistry books around ;)

It's actually called Krypton, and I think that they named the planet after the noble gas, and made up "Kryptonite". :)

Hope this helps. :)

But what about if like, Clark took Chemistry in high school, like in Smallville. What do they call Krypton (the element) then? Does it exist in that universe?

I think to hard about these things, I admit XD

Ok, either I'm not being clear or you're getting really, really meta on me. The element is called Krypton, it's a noble gas. I think that's what the planet is named after. "Kryptonite" is, as far as I can tell, is an invention strictly for the Superman/DC universe. I am not, however, not an expert on the Superman 'verse, so I wouldn't know for sure.

DCU and real science, as I've observed, however, aren't necessarily mixy things.

*giggles*, It's me getting meta. I'm a dork who wonders about these things. Plain and simple there.
