Okay so I really want to know the answer to this question. I asked Jess last night but since she hates football, it didn't work. SO QAFers on my flist, I pose this to you:

If the Pittsburgh football team in the QAF verse is the Ironmen, then do the Pittsburgh Steelers exist? And if not, then did the Ironmen win the Super Bowl this year?

No this is not a stupid question, it's very important! :P

I'm going to say that Ironmen=Steelers, in effect. Therefore, the Ironmen won the Super Bowl.

Regardless, I don't think anyone's going to yell at you for saying so. :-D

Maybe. It occured to me it could also be a Jets and Giants thing. Both are New York teams. So maybe the Steelers DO exist and share the city with the Ironmen...

I should take a poll or something.

I love QAF and football, so this is right up my alley. The Ironmen do not share the city with the Steelers. For legal reasons, they had to create a team to take the place of the Steelers, hence the similar named Ironmen. And in Season 5 (the last one), Emmett mentions that he saw them win the Big Game aka the Super Bowl (but once again they can't say that name due to legal reasons). I don't know if you've seen season 5 and are familiar with Emmett's reasons for liking football, so I don't want to say anything else and spoil it. SO in conclusion, the Steelers do not exist. :) But QAF is great and I'm sad it's gone. But that's what DVDs are for!
