New York, Rainy New York
May. 29th, 2003 07:15 pmWell, New York wasn't as bad as a I thought. Thank god for Alex or I would have died (and killed Katherine but when don't I want to do that?)
Did all the tourist stuff: Empire State building, Statue of Liberty (which is smaller then I imagined) Ellis Island and the like.
Then saw Aida. Adam Paschal was playing the lead again! The first time I saw Aida was with the original cast, which included him and I almost died when I saw that he was in it this time! Such a lovely voice...almost makes up for not seeing Kevin in Chicago...ALMOST!
Mom and I then got to shop in Times Square while the rest of the group saw Beauty and the Beast. Went to Roxy's Deli and had the biggest fricking sandwhich in my life! It was a BLT with a pound of bacon, a whole head of lettuce and a whole tomato. Needless to say, I didn't eat it all. And got to hang around the biggest Toy-R-Us in the world! Got two more Care Bears (Baby Tugs and Funshine Bear) and an action figure from the Matrix for Jacob for his brithday. Also bought a birthday card for Erik that says "To the World's Greatest Yankees Fan!" oh course, Erik hates the Yankees with a fierce passion! lol, I got him some chocolate to make up for it.
Hmm...what else exciting did we do? oh yes, most of the group stood out in the rain for TWO hours to see Rubin on the Today Show on Monday. Me, I wisely stayed on the bus for I wasn't feeling to hot(which is the reason me no go to school today!)
So that's New York in a nut shell.
Today, just want to shoot myself to stop awful sinus headache. Watched X-men 1.5 with fun deleted scenes and extra features. Also finally talked to Scott's player and Alex can now be picked up! Very happy!
