Hey all! I finally back from ASP, which was really fun and it was a great spiritual experience. My church youth group went to West Virgnia to help people who could afford it to fix up thier homes. My group built a roof! And we were with churchs from PA, Minnesota and a family from Michigan. I wrote a journal so I'm going to do back entries in my livejournal for it, so if you suddenly see lots of entries from me, that's why.
And some thing really sad happened while I was away. At my church, we have a fmaily with a six year old daughter who died of brain cancer earlier this week. Her funeral was yesterday, a few hours before we came home from ASP. Her rbothers Robert and Andrew were suspposed to come with us, but decided to stay and be with thier little sister untill the end. Rachel Crossett was a sweet little girl who was always smiling when I saw her at church. I couldn't believe what had happened untill I saw her small grave in the church yard, covered in flowers. She was diagnoised at the age of three and a half. I heard someone today at church say that Rachel's little sister Catherine was asking her mother when she would get to see Rachel again. It was really heart breaking.
I'm going to write a story for her, but first I need to get the lyrics to "Time" by the Backstreet Boys. The idea came to me Tuesday, after Ashley told me and Eric that Rachel had died that morning. When I went to bed, I was listening to Black and Blue and I heard that song and it reminded me of Rachel. *shutters* This is like me lossing my little cousin Emily, she's only 5 and Rachel was 6. I'm really making myself depressed thinking about Rachel and I'm still tired from ASP.
I'm going to work on Six Months now. I hope to get another chapter up before I leave for Mexico on friday. I'll do the same thing there, writing a journal then writing back entires here.
Linnea just told me about this new boyband called DreamStreet. *shutters* Okay they're younger then I am! And they're being featured on Radio Disney and Nickelodean? *rolls eyes* Oh dear...Come on, we just got over O-Town and Aaron Carter now this? gee whiz people! Sorry I like to rant and rave and this just gave me a new topic to rave about! Move over Aaron Carter, here's Dream Street!
Okay now I'm really done. See ya peeps.
